Loving Our Community

Produce Pantry

Thanks to the generous partnership with Whole Foods we offer produce and other perishable items for our neighbors to enjoy through the week. Most of the items are organic and healthy foods. Many of the participants in the pantry tell us they “feel better” and “ have more energy” because they are getting food that are good for them and improve their health! The pantry does not require any kind of ID or proof of address to benefit from the pantry. The pantry is open on Monday’s at 10 am including most holidays.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner provides around 300 meals for our neighbors each year. We’ve been hosting Thanksgiving Dinner since 2009 and are so thankful for the churches and individuals who have partnered with us to cook for, serve, feed, and love our neighbors.

Community Meals

Eating a nutritious meal is important for the development not only of children, but also of adults. When a person’s basic needs are not met they find it difficult to focus on anything past the very necessities of life. We know that a free meal won’t necessarily change a life, but we also know that a life won’t ever change if the person is hungry and wondering where their next meal is coming from. Cincinnati Urban Promise offers a free meal each week, a breakfast on Sunday’s at 10:30AM. These meals are open to the community and are prepared by leaders from the neighborhood and volunteers from partnering churches.

We have an ongoing “Food for Friendship” food drive for groups and individuals wishing to help to provide food for these meals. Please contact us for more info.

Christmas Baskets

Thanks to partnerships with area churches CUP is able to provide all the families in our programs with a complete Christmas meal.
